Cosmic Styles emerged as a solution to an interesting problem: how to communicate the vast number of pixels in Hubble Space Telescope images in a physical format that maximizes the bandwidth of human sight. By printing these images onto large fabric tapestries, an image is created that is much higher resolution than any computer display, and can fill the whole field of view. These properties allow the images to be communicated in a way that lets us experience them in an analog context more appropriate to their majesty.
After producing many of these tapestries for my own use, I spun them off into a small business, allowing anyone to purchase these objects for their own enjoyment.
